June Fundraising at Natural Paws, Reno

Percentage of Proceeds Benefit Pet Rescue!

Natural Paws is donating a percentage of their sales for the month of June to the Pet Network Humane Society in Incline Village.  The Pet Network Humane Society is a non-profit animal rescue organization that reduces euthanasia through rescue, rehabilitation and humane education and is a proud partner of Natural Paws through their pet rescue adoptions as well as other community events. Natural Paws, an all natural pet food and supply store, is located in the Raley’s Center at Galena Junction in South Reno and is committed to pet rescue.

If the program is successful, Natural Paws will be extending the offer to other rescue groups in the area to help with their funding, exposure, and education.  Lori and Rob Burks, owners of Natural Paws, comment, “We have two rescue dogs of our own and we have always rescued and have had the most loving, well behaved dogs.  Sometimes people don’t know you can adopt a puppy, a purebred or any temperament through a pet rescue organization.  They have all sizes, shapes, personalities--you just have to find the right fit for your family.  It might require a little more effort but it will be worth it in the long run as a life will be saved not to mention a few dollars.”

The month of June is the time to come out to Natural Paws in Galena and stock up on all natural foods and treats and fun collars and toys.  Sheltered dogs and cats are the most loving pets as they truly appreciate being rescued from their situation and will be loyal and loving throughout their lives with their owners.

Local Horse's Spirit Lives Through His Art--featured at Art Paws, 7/21, at McKinley Arts & Cultural Center, Reno

Cholla Rides into Heaven: Reno's Only Magnificent Equine Artist

Long time friend and local horse lover, Renee Chambers has forever been a patron of the arts as well as a mustang owner.  She and her horse Cholla showcased artwork that her horse enjoyed painting.

Yes, her mustang painted fine art.

Unfortunately, Cholla got the call last spring to go to Heaven.

He is so missed.

Cholla is unforgettable.  And you can bid on one of his priceless creations at this year's Art Paws, Sun July 21, 10am to 5pm, in the Silent Auction.

Thank you, Cholla, and thank you, Renee.
