The location for Reno's third annual Cat Convention, All Things Cats has changed.
The event is now hosted at, and sponsored by, Grand Sierra Resort.
The Cat Convention will take place in the Summit Pavilion, on Saturday, February 9 from 10am until 6pm. Admission is free.
If you love cats, you won’t want to miss the cat event of the year! The event will
include:
include:
- A Cat Marketplace of cat-themed art, gifts, jewelry, pottery, cat toys and more
- Over 100 cats for adoption, including Mini Panthers, Tiny Tigers, Supersized Cats, Older-but-Wiser and Classy and Sassy cats
- Joel Silverman, host of Dog & Cat Training with Joel Silverman, will demonstrate how to train a cat
- Brian Crane, Pickles cartoonist, will be selling and signing his books from his Pickles collection
- Cash bar and light refreshments
You can get involved by:
- Donating a raffle prize! We ask that raffles are of a value of at least $25, and prefercat-related items. However, we will consider other items. The deadline to submit a raffle prize is Tuesday, February 5 at 5pm. Please drop off or send to J’Neal Hachquet, Events Manager, at the NHS shelter on Longley Lane.
- Volunteering! All trained NHS volunteers are eligible as we need a variety of help, both the day before and the day of the event. If interested, please contact Nichole Nichols, Community Programs Manager, at nnichols@nevadahumanesociety.org.
- Spread the word! You can download the poster for the event and post around town. We also have an event on our Facebook Page that you can also share with friends!
Thank you in advance for helping to make the Cat Convention, All Things Cats, a success!
