| The Virginia Mansfield Day, Saturday, April 12: Calling all cat lovers! When you adopt a cat on Saturday, April 12, you'll receive a free bag of litter and a free bag of food, plus a professional photo of your new cat for free! Refreshments will also be available. The event runs from 10am - 6:30pm (photos are available from 11am-2pm). The Virginia Mansfield Day is in honor of Virginia Mansfield and her infinite love for kitties. The Mansfield Endowment provides generous funding for the NHS cats through the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. Kitten Shower/Foster Information Session, Saturday, April 26: If you love kittens we've got a great way for you to help save these tiny, little lives-attend our Kitten Shower! You're encouraged to bring a kitten gift as a donation (see our Amazon Wish List at http://tinyurl.com/l98wzbp) and enjoy fun activities and refreshments. In addition, if you've ever thought about becoming a volunteer Foster Caregiver, you won't want to miss this opportunity to learn more! The Kitten Shower takes place on Saturday, April 26 from 12-4pm, and the Foster Information Session is from 2-3:30. Both events are at NHS. Reno Earth Day 2014, Sunday, April 27: Celebrate our big, green planet by joining us for Earth Day 2014! The community-wide event will include educational booths, vendors, unique performances and live music. NHS will be there with adorable pets for adoption too, so be sure to tell your family and friends! Earth Day is on Sunday, April 27 at Idlewild Park from 10am - 5pm. Admission is free. |
